Ingredients:
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup butter, melted
- ½ cup white sugar
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- 1 ½ cups fresh blueberries
- 1 ¾ cups whole wheat flour
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
Directions:
- Mix the butter, sugar, egg and vanilla in a container until creamy.
- Put in the buttermilk and mix thoroughly.
- Fold in the flour, salt and baking powder then put in the blueberries.
- Spoon the batter in a loaf pan coated with baking paper.
- Pre-heat the oven and bake at 350F for forty minutes or until well risen and the bread passes the toothpick test.
- Let cool in the pan and serve, sliced.
