BLUEBERRY WHOLE WHEAT BREAD

Ingredients:


  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ¾ cup buttermilk
  • 1 ½ cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 ¾ cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Directions:


  1. Mix the butter, sugar, egg and vanilla in a container until creamy.
  2. Put in the buttermilk and mix thoroughly.
  3. Fold in the flour, salt and baking powder then put in the blueberries.
  4. Spoon the batter in a loaf pan coated with baking paper.
  5. Pre-heat the oven and bake at 350F for forty minutes or until well risen and the bread passes the toothpick test.
  6. Let cool in the pan and serve, sliced.
