✰ Ingredients:
✰ Crust:
- ½ cup butter, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
✰ Filling:
- ½ cup butter, softened
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- 1 ½ cups ground almonds
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
✰ Directions:
- To make the crust, combine the butter and sugar in a container until creamy. Put in the egg and mix thoroughly.
- Stir in the flour and salt then move the dough to a floured working surface and roll it into a sheet.
- Put the dough in a tart pan and press it on the bottom and sides of the pan. Trim the edges if required.
- To make the filling, combine the butter and sugar in a container until creamy.
- Put in the vanilla, eggs, egg yolk and almonds and mix thoroughly.
- Spoon the filling into the crust and top with apple slices.
- Pre-heat the oven and bake at 350F for about forty-five minutes or until a golden-brown colour is achieved.
- Let cool in the pan and serve, sliced.
