✰ Ingredients:

✰ Crust:


  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

✰ Filling:


  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 ½ cups ground almonds
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced

✰ Directions:


  • To make the crust, combine the butter and sugar in a container until creamy. Put in the egg and mix thoroughly.
  • Stir in the flour and salt then move the dough to a floured working surface and roll it into a sheet.
  • Put the dough in a tart pan and press it on the bottom and sides of the pan. Trim the edges if required.
  • To make the filling, combine the butter and sugar in a container until creamy.
  • Put in the vanilla, eggs, egg yolk and almonds and mix thoroughly.
  • Spoon the filling into the crust and top with apple slices.
  • Pre-heat the oven and bake at 350F for about forty-five minutes or until a golden-brown colour is achieved.
  • Let cool in the pan and serve, sliced.
